Yes I do enjoy living in multi-ethnic Singapore. In Singapore, people from different ethnic backgrounds and religious groups live peacefully together. Singapore's population is predominantly Chinese comprising about 75% of the total population. The next largest ethnic groups are Malay followed by Indian. Surprisingly, over ten percent of Singapore's population is foreign.
Living amongst the multi-racial diverse background in Singapore, one will get a feel of the different cultures and the various types of upbringing that co-exist and gel firmly in the city state. People from all walks of life, with different social status and varied financial stability all celebrate festivals that are mostly religious, cultural or plainly commemorative in nature here in Singapore.
The main traditional festivals in Singapore are, Lunar New Year,Good Friday, Hari Raya Puasa and Haji, Deepavali and Christmas. During this festive periods, there will be lots of sales and food. Singapore will be busy. Through this, I will be able to learn all kinds of cultures, religions and its beliefs.
