Our Friends

A friend is a person whom you can share your own thoughts and feelings with.It is also a person you can trust.If you are in difficulty , you can seek help by asking for a few solutions or their opinion.Friends are the only people in the world whom you won't be scared to talk to.We can trust and frankly speak to them.To me,a good friend should be very outgoing,truthful and helpful.

I have made many good friends since I have entered this school.Frankly speaking, my classmates are my good friends.I really love my class.I have never come across this kind of friendly and helpful bunch of classmates.I really love them.Firstly,I mostly like Bhairavi,Cassandra, Pei Lin and last but not least,Qian Yi.

After school, I hang out with Bhairavi.She is very amazing .You would always feel like talking to her.She will give advices when I'm in trouble.She's very understanding and is damn funny.She always helps me in my computer projects as she's so-called a computer genius like typing works.We'll have lunch together after school while we talk about school that day and about a handful of our kind seniors.

Later we would head to the library to read books or look at our school past year's year books together.We will have fun teasing the teachers and of those times very nerdy and old-fashioned.Both of us also share the same interests.We are actually so-called sisters.I really enjoy being and spending time with her.

Sports Fiesta

Hi Mdm Tan! It's nice to meet you again. Now I would like to share with you my experience during our school Annual Sports Fiesta at Serangoon Stadium.I first met Bhairavi at the Bus Interchange. Later, we both took a bus to Serangoon Stadium.We both reached there at about 7.15 a.m.The whole stadium was packed up with excitement everywhere.

After a few minutes of chatting my friends,the assembly was held.Later, everybody were allocated to their own house color.As Bhairavi and I were the in the same house,we chatted with each other for the whole day without any disturbances.The Captain,s Ball competition started.Pyros and Terrus competed with each other.I took part in the captain's ball trials representing Hydros.It's a very fun sport where in a team there's 8 players.I supported for Pyros in the captain's ball match and supported for Voltus which was playing against Aroes in the soccer match.In the end Terrus won for the captain's ball match and Voltus won for the soccer match.


I and Bhairavi made a bet over the winning house color at the end of the day.I chose Pyros which was not my house color.She chose Hydros.Later, I took part in the telematch.I was supposed to skip 15 times non-stop.I was a bit nervous then.I tried skipping for a few times.At last the telematch started.I had to wait for my teammate to approach me than only I could start skipping.I started to skip.There was no failures.I was the first person to finish skipping.I was so proud of myself.The telematch ended.Hydros came in 2nd.I was quite happy for that.My whole team got a trophy each.


After that it was the track and field.I supported for my house members sincerely and loudly.I and Bhairavi chit-chatted with each other about which house was about to win.At last it was the prize giving.Later it was the announcement of the results.I cheered as loud as I could for Pyros. Aeros got the last position and Hydros got the 3rd position.Eventually,as I thought Pyros was the champion.Hhahahahahaha.Bhairavi was so sad.Don't cry,Don't cry.It was the best day ever.Yeah.

Informal Letter

Dear Karin Yeo

Hi! How have you been? It has been a very long period of time since we last talked to each other. I really miss your humorous jokes. Now I'll tell you more about my new secondary school.


I'm from Chong Boon Secondary School. I'm in perseverance 2.This
is the best class I have ever been to. My classmates are very understanding and friendly. They will be there for one another in times of difficulties. My teachers also are very lovable and kind. My close friends are Bhairavi, Cassandra and Qian Yi. They are very friendly especially Bhairavi.


My CCA is netball. I really love the sport. It's a very interesting sport. To play this sport, the team must have at least seven players. Each player plays a very important role in the game. In my school only girls are able to join netball. But, in this sport boys also can play. Even though the training sessions are very though, I still enjoy everything that I do.


The next thing I love about my school is the library. There is a large variety of books which are classified according to the author. I love James Patterson's books. He usually writes mostly about crime and romance. Until now I've been reading his books without fail.

A far far away place which I dream to go.

A far far away land which I dream to go is Rome in Italy.I dream to go there because I would like to see the Colosseum.It is the most of ancient Rome's monuments.It is also one the 7 wonders of the world.The Colosseum begun in AD 70 by Emperor Vespasian.It was then inaugurated in AD 80 with a programs of games and shows that lasted for 100 days.
Later I would also like to visit the leaning tower of Pisa which is also in Italy.It's a bell tower.It took people there 177 years to build the bell tower.It can never be straightened.The tower was built to the rest of the world the wealth of the city Pisa.This tower has also attracted many tourist to the country.
italy is also famous for pasta.They are very delicious.

Annual Cross Country 2010

Hi Mdm Tan. Nice to meet you again. It's about our school's annual cross country.This special event was held on 26 th of March 2010,last friday.This event is held at Machritchie Reservoir in Upper Thomson Road.All students were expected to reach the venue by 7.30a.m sharp.
As transport was not available from the school,my 2 friends and I met each other at Ang Mo Kio interchange. Later, we took Bus 166 and alighted at our destination.A student councilor ushered us to the meeting place.We reached there at 7.15a.m.
Later on we sang the national anthem.After that the competitors ran their race first and the others waited for half and hour.I wasn't running for the race.But I was nervous as every single person had to run 3.2 km.So I was stretching my body to prepare for the race.
At about 8.30am sharp,the females the males were separated as the male had to run a longer distance.At last we all started running.I felt that this run was much easier than the NAPFA test we had.My friends also agreed with me.
I finished running at 9.30am.As I was thirsty, I bought a can of 100plus.Later it was prize-giving ceremony to the competitors who won.At about 10.15am the whole event ended.And I took Bus 130 with my 2 friends and went back home happily.I really enjoyed the event.THE END........................................................

Total Defence Celebration.

There was a Total Defence Day celebration in school.Classes were as per normal when suddenly a loud siren was heard ll over the school.Mrs Menon gave an announcement that there was an explosion at science lab at level 2.
And most importantly, Mrs Menon said that especially the second floor students.I got so paniced at that moment.Mr Koh immediately led us to the school field.Some irresponsible students from other class,were walking slowly.When she saw this,she shouted at them hushly.They got so shocked and ran towards the field.Later Mrs Mnon briefed us about the need of the emergency evacuation.Then I underdstood that we should take this kind of exercises seriously.
Later we proceeded to our classes.Our lessons resumed.Mr Koh gave out each of us 5pieces of post-its to write about our of thoughts for total defence.It was recess.And it was food rationing.So canteen was closed.Everybody was each given a bun and a bottle of water.Then our teacher explained how fortunate we were.And he said that we are to atleast get a piece of clean water and a bread.
After that we had a trail .Our job was to paste our reflections and was to learn more about total defence.

Chinese New Year celebrations.

Hi Mdm Tan! Nice to see you again.This topic is about chinese new year and there's nothing I can talk about. I am an non-chinese. I will tell you what I usually do at during the weekdays at home.
I woke up at 10 'o' clock in the morning.I took a shower and when to have my breakfast. I sat at home revising the topics which were taught 1 month ago. After 2 hours,I used the computer.I went to Facebook as usual.There were none of them in chat.I had nothing to do but to shut down the computer.
Later I got dressed up and went Toa Payoh for maths tuition.As I hated maths, I was so bored for the past 2 hours.At last my tuition was over.I headed back to home happily.I reached home 7pm.
Suddenly I saw my close friends playing basketball.S I also joined in.I had a great time playing with them:-)

A proud moment in my life.

I once participated in a tamil singing competition held by Teck Ghee Community Club when I was in Primary 6.When I was first told by my tamil teacher that I was selected to go for this competition in front of my friends , I started dancing around the class in joy.
I searched for a good melodious song.After days of hardships, I finally found a melodious songas by my wish. I started studying the song slowly and memorisingthe song bit by bit.Before the competition,my tamil teacher wanted me to sing the song in front of the whole class.
My friends were so encouraging that I even forgot about me and sang as fluently as I could.After I finished singing,my whole class gave me support by clapping their hands.I was so gleeful.My teacher gave some useful tips to improve in my singing.
The dayhad come for me to unleash my hidden talents.I was looking forward to the competition. I was tremendously jazzed up.I kept practising my song and tried to improve more.I ate my lunch made specially for me by my mother and she said good luck and sent me off.I headed to my school where the competition was held.
People occupied the the school hall. I was a bit scared.I saw my tamil teacher there.She allocated me to the room where my cmpetition was held. A large number of contestants trouped into the room.I kept to the rear of the huge group.I was directed to my seat.I was totally at the front row!The competition started.The first contestant was a beautiful girl from Anderson Primary School.She sang a sweet song.But she did not sing it properly.Suddenly, she stopped the song and dashed out of the room.Everybody were so surprised.Later the competition resumed Everybody took songs which were new and very rocking.I was so scared because I took a very old song which taught moral values.Suddenly, my name was called upon and I had to sing next.My heart was thumping very fast . My hand had gone all sweaty.I walked slowly towards the place where I had to sing.Out of no where my teacher appeared in the room.My teacher was smiling at me and was wishing me good luck.I thought to myself that I should not let my teacher down.I immediately took the microphone and introduced myslef to the audience bravely.

I sang as sweetly as possible.And showed actions with my hands to show my creativity. I saw everybody clapping their hand togrther with my song.I also saw the judges enjoying my performance.When I had finished singing,everybody clapped their hands loudly.I went to my seat.At last the competition ended.I went to the hall and saw my parents together with my sister.My mother asked if I would win this competition.I told her everything that happened when I was singing.After 2 hours of concerts, it was the results of all the competitions.They said that the results of the singing competition will be announced at the end.I was so eager to know the results.At last,the annoucement of the results of the singing competition started and they asked every competitors to assemble near the stage.
I quickly ran near the stage.They started giving away the prizes for the 8th prize first.It was the announcement of the 3rd prize already.My name was not called yet.I was so discouraged that I started walking back to my family.
'The 1st prize goes to Greeshmah from Da Qiao Primary School!'announced the speaker.

I turned behind. I could not believe my ears.All eyes were looking at me.I quickly ran towards the stage and got the big trophy.All the cameras were pointing at me.I felt like a hero.I was a hero.It was so marvellous to be popular.

Growth Day at Sentosa.

Hi Mdm Tan! It's nice talking to you again! It's about the Growth Day at Sentosa.I really enjoyed myself at the beach fiesta. I brought my mother along too! I was quite happy when my mother was with me all day long. I got to introduce myfriends to her and had a lot of fun too! I loved the current circuit game the most. It taught me how to be patient and steady.
Secondly,I really loved the candy floss stall and the popcorn stall.I really am mad over candy floss. I love everything which is sweet and of course if you notice,popcorn is also sweet. I later came across a booth where you can take your own photo.And they would change us into a future 72 year old non-smoking and smoking Greeshmah.
They said that we would will look better if we did not smoke. the real fact is that I looked even better in the smoking picture.I played the games and manage to receive 12 points and I redeemed my prizes.
I actually got lost together with my mother. She immediately called my form teacher, Mr Koh.He directed us through the phone.At last we found our way and our took a class photo. And finally we boarded our bus and when back home.THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Personal Aspirations and target setting

Dear teacher,
I am Greeshmah.I am from Da Qiao primary school.I was transferred from Chongfu primay schoolin Yishun when I was P6.
I got very low marks for PSLE which was 201.I got only a B grade for my English.I was so horrified when you said that I will get a C5 or a C6 for a B grade in'O'levels.
I want to study well and get into a good junior college.Later I want to go to a good university.And then after years of hard work,I would like to be a news correspondent.
To acheive my targets, I willl always concentrate in class wholeheartedly and not be playful.My this year's target for English is atleast aB3.I will work hard towards my targets.

My Aspirations.

I am Greeshmah from Perseverance2.I have just done my PSLE examinations.Now I know my standards in studies.I have started to plan my life.As I did really bad for PSLE,I would like to do better for my 'O' levels.I would also not like to repeat the same mistakes I have made in primary school life.
Like any other kids ,I also have a very big dream.I dream of being a news correspondent.I know that it's impossible for a person like me.The reason why I want to be a news correspondent is that I love to travel around the world.
I love every countries in the world, as long as it is unique.I like to learn about people's customs and cultures.The place always adorned to go is Africa."Ew!Africa?I you mad?"I know that many people would say this. You would have thought countries like America and Australia and those kind of rich western place.To say the truth, I had those countries mentioned.
I would like to go for something unique and ancient. I feel very hard to enjoy my life.I would also like to improve my English in PSLE .I know that it is very low.I love reading which is oral reading. I like to read very loud with lots of expressions. But sometimes I get paniced and will stammer.Overall I love English.I hpe that I will succeed in life.
